Mother’s Day Special ~ Best Deal Ever!

Martinsburg, WV Photographers

I have had lots of inquiries about mini-sessions for Spring, but I’ve come up with something SOOOO much better! Instead of the skimpy “mini”-session that is rushed and not much fun at all, I’ve decided to do a FULL session sale at a mini-session price! Any session qualifies except boudoir sessions:)That’s the full 2 hour portrait experience, so we can actually have a great time and get a huge variety of images. Even better,  I am giving away a FREE MiniAlbum with every session! I’m not stopping there… Instead of limiting the sale to 1 or 2 days and hoping for great weather, you can purchase this special offer and use it anytime before July 1! So, if you have a birthday gift, holiday gift or a thank you gift to give before the end of June, this is a PERFECT opportunity to give (or get!) a FULL Swadley Studio portrait experience at an unbeatable mini-session price. And the BEST part? $25 of each session will be donated to the local March For Babies team that we are walking for on May 12 in Winchester, VA! Get in touch to order yours today… You have until May 12!

Tea Party Bridal Shower

Martinsburg, WV Wedding Photographers

It’s about time I blogged this awesome bridal shower! Remember Shannon, owner of Frosted Fantasies, from this post? Well, this was her perfectly elegant bridal shower that I had the pleasure of photographing in Martinsburg, WV. It was held at Katara’s Deli (formerly known as the popular Dubby’s Deli) on Winchester Avenue. If you haven’t checked this place out, make a stop by soon… it’s the perfect spot to grab lunch and chill, or even host a party as you can see below!

I’ll skip posting the fantastic cake shots I took, since they are all in the Vendor Spotlight on Frosted Fantasies (if you haven’t checked it out yet, do so now to see some amazing cake work by Shannon!). Here’s a small peek at Shannon & her cake:

The decor consisted of pink accents and black/white damask prints, with beautiful teapots perfectly placed around the room. It was pulled together so well, and looked awesome!  Here are some of the gorgeous details that made the tea party theme amazing…

Shannon is so beautiful, and this light from the windows complimented her so well, don’t you think?:)

Pretty amazing bridal shower, huh? Well, wait until I blog the wedding! It was GORGEOUS!!!

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Charities giving photography

I wanted to highlight one of my favorite charities, in the hopes of spreading awareness and attracting more photographers to join this wonderful organization. Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) is a non-profit that provides complimentary professional photography to those new parents who have the most ultimate heartbreak one could ever experience. Often times, parents do not know of this service until after it is too late, and they wish they had been able to capture those special moments or days with their little one with professional photography that they could always cherish. Please watch the video below to understand what a wonderful service this organization is providing, and please share with your friends and family. Visit their website to learn more about them.

Tyler & Peggy ~ Barn Wedding in Winchester, VA
Winchester, VA Wedding Photographers

Tyler & Peggy had their work cut out for them when they purchased a home in downtown Winchester, and decided to use the old run-down barn in the backyard as their reception venue… talk about ambitious!!! They spent most of their engagement working day and night on every aspect of the barn. They not only built an absolutely gorgeous venue, but obviously built a stronger relationship in the process. All their hard work paid off immensely when they walked into the completely decked out barn to be introduced for the first time as husband and wife. No detail was spared, and the results were truly unbelievable. I told Peggy she has to rent this out to other couples, but I don’t think she’s up for that stress just yet, lol.

Peggy did not want pictures of the getting ready process, or the details that we usually capture such as the dress, shoes and all the other little things that go into the day. So, we started off the day with the limo ride to the church, Sacred Heart in Winchester, VA.  After the ceremony, we drove out to Sky Meadows State Park where the wedding party and their families enjoyed a picnic lunch. What a beautiful day it was!

Jon captured this great moment of the kids overlooking the cocktail party, while I was busy taking photobooth style pictures in front of the cute backdrop Peggy & Tyler created!

Wow… just wow…

They even had these canvases made of the engagement session we did, and had them faded out to perfectly match the antique feel of the shutter display they put together.
