Not accepting wedding/events from June 12 – July 25, 2010

Read on to hear why…

This entry really should have more of an exciting, creative feel to it, but I am just feeling miserable and can’t muster up the energy to do anything special…

But I’m SO happy that I’m feeling miserable :)

What could I be so happy about, but is making me feel so miserable, you ask?

I’m sure it’s not that hard to guess ;-)

So, I’ll end this post with a picture that I did NOT take. I think it’s the most beautiful picture I’ve ever laid eyes on in my life.

p.s. If anyone has any home remedies for utterly miserable, debilitating morning sickness (that lasts ALL DAY & NIGHT!)… please share!

I’ve tried the following:

  • crackers
  • dry everything
  • lemons (this actually took the edge off for the first week, but now it has no effect)
  • B-6
  • Preggie Pops
  • Red raspberry leaf
  • Sea bands
  • Everything under the sun that is made with ginger (even raw ginger root itself… YUCK!)
  • peppermint

Woody - Skyline High ‘09

I love doing senior portraits! I especially love doing senior portraits that take me back to my old stomping grounds of Front Royal! And, when the subject is family, it’s even better! Woody is my first cousin’s son, and can you believe I just met him earlier this year?! Wow, how time flies. Jon has taught me so much since I have been with him, and putting family first is one of those things that he really tries to encourage. Not that I wouldn’t want to anyway, but when I have a full-time day job, and I devote at least 50 hours a week on top of that to my photography business, it’s pretty hard to think about me, much less my family. Which is why I just got my invitations sent out to my wedding last week… only 4 weeks before the wedding… tsk, tsk!

So anyway, it was really cool to hang out with my baby cousin and cruise around Front Royal. Only he’s definitely not a baby. Look at that face!

Long Awaited…

I’m so excited that I finally have a chance to share these with everyone! Before the cold of winter came, I went out with 3 awesome high school seniors to do a Funky Formals session with each of them. We had so much fun that it was really hard to pack up for the day, because we all just wanted to stay in the water and play some more! I can’t wait till the weather warms up, so I can go out & do this again! Oh… and in case anyone is wondering, all 3 dresses came perfectly clean!

I couldn’t pick out just a few, so I’ve put together a slideshow for you to view. Make sure you turn up your speakers to hear the music I picked out for it. This was the theme song to my favorite tv series of all time. Anyone know which show that might be?!?

Chelsea

Meet Chelsea! She is another wonderful senior from the Class of 2008 that I have had the pleasure to meet this year. Chelsea is one of those girls that is every parents dream: very charming, lots of personality & some of the best manners ever :)

Check it out!

Just thought I’d pass along some exciting info! Remember a couple posts back I introduced “Funky Formals”? Well, I decided to submit some of my first Funky Formals session to the national website that shows off some of the best images from around the country, and guess what?!? They picked some to put up on the site! These were of Catie, who is a natural in front of the camera. Actually, you’ll be seeing more of her in about a week or so, because we just went out yesterday and did a group Funky Formals session with her & two of her friends! We all had such an awesome time, and these images definitely show it… I can’t wait to post them! I really love my job :)

For now, make sure to check out the website showcasing the nation’s revolutionary seniors here: www.letsgettrashed.com

Here’s one of the shots they chose:
