We recently had the pleasure of photographing at a fabulous wedding venue that is the epitome of West Virginia beauty. I had never been to the Guest House at Lost River, but I was excited to shoot at a new venue that was still somewhat close to home. I’ll be giving this wedding venue their own Vendor Spotlight soon, because it’s just too amazing to stuff it all in Jeanne & Andrew’s wedding post 😉 On with the wedding!
I met Jeanne & Andrew at an eclectic little restaurant in Strasburg on their way back from their WV vacation cabin to their home in Washington, D.C., and I totally loved them right away! When I made the trip to WashingI knew that this would be a very unique yet classy wedding.
Jeanne MADE her own wedding dress! I was expecting a simple little number that felt homemade, but this dress was beyond stunning. Everything from the fabric to the clasps to the special beaded adornment on the back was like something out of a top-notch New York fashion house. This dress was a true piece of artwork. Speaking of artwork, Andrew is actually an artist who paints some truly stimulating works of art himself (check him out here). Together, these two make the perfect pair, and created a wedding celebration that will never be forgotten.
